New OEM Samsung Galaxy Note 1 Battery N7000 i9220 2500mAh EB615268VK 2500 mAh

As shown below, on 19 March 2015 I bought what was claimed to be a new OEM Samsung 2500mAH battery for my Galaxy Note N7000.

However, the battery is not a genuine OEM Samsung battery, does not perform to its rated capacity of 2500 mAH, and does not hold voltage correctly. The phone screen starts to flicker and goes flat at 10% and 20% remaining battery capacity, and the battery continues to go flat even when charging when it is below 20%.

Photo showing differences between genuine and fake battery

This is the genuine Samsung battery that came with my phone. Note how the battery casing is high quality and not scratched. Note how the sticker is grey underneath.

This is the fake battery that I bought from eBay. Note how the battery casing is low quality and scratched. Note how the sticker is silver underneath. This is not a genuine Samsung battery.

Battery Failure

The battery is unable to maintain correct voltage below 20%. The screen starts to flicker and then the phone turns off.

Below 20% the battery stops working properly, and continues to go flat even when the phone is plugged in to charge it.
